Reflexology in West London for Wellbeing

Soften and reconnect your body by calming your nervous system with Chloe

Welcome to Chloe Alexandra Reflexology

Meet Your Reflexologist in West London

After having a baby and going through lockdown I dealt with long periods of anxiety and sadness. I felt like I wasn't in control of my body anymore and there was a disconnection. I then realised an intolerance to gluten was making things worse and I was putting too many toxins into my body. In order to help myself heal and look after my little boy properly, I needed to make some dietary changes, tailor my exercise and explore holistic therapies.

When feeling anxious, I would go for a full body massage and be desperate for them to work on my feet. I knew they were a sensitive part of my body and I wanted them to be touched but I didn't realise they were the gateway to relieve my anxiety and stress. The quiet moments when your mind is calm and the body is relaxed is when the answers arrive.

My Professional Background in Reflexology

My choice to become a qualified, licensed Reflexologist was a driven desire to help people on their journey to heal. I earned my Level 3 Diploma at the London School of Reflexology with Britain's leading Reflexology practitioner Louise Keet. The course is QFC government approved and I am a member of the Association of Reflexologists.

How Reflexology Works

My goal as a Reflexologist is to strengthen the connectivity between your body systems that may be out of balance or stagnant. Much like flicking on a light switch, I work the reflexes on your feet to send an electrical signal to your central nervous system, where it is received and processed by the brain. The brain then sends a response back to the area we are working on within the human body. This can then trigger the body's natural healing process to be set in motion, making you feel calm, grounded and recharged.

I will use my hands to apply pressure to specific points on your feet, in the form of a relaxing massage. These reflex points refer to a mini map of the entire body, every organ, gland and human structure resides on the feet. I can apply a variety of different pressures to suit you, some people prefer a lighter touch and others a deeper treatment.

Relaxation

Calm sea view symbolising balance, peace and emotional harmony.

Sessions allow you to become deeply relaxed, improving sleep quality and blood circulation, while reducing tension and helping the body to recharge. Many of my clients report feeling full of energy for the next few days after a session.

Session Prices

Your first session will include a medical consultation so that I can find out which parts of your feet need the most attention. This allows me to tailor the treatment to what it is your body needs. This will take around 10-15 minutes and then the Reflexology treatment will be for one hour, we will discuss any imbalances I have found after the session and a treatment plan/aftercare. The cost for this 75-minute treatment will be £80.

Follow-up treatments for one hour are £75.

If you want to cancel an appointment I require 48 hours notice; otherwise you will still need to pay for any sessions missed. I accept cash or contactless payments.

Frequently asked questions

How many treatments will I need?

Everyone is different and the response to Reflexology can be immediate or sometimes take longer than one appointment, but often huge benefits can be seen after just one session!  Regular weekly treatments are best for people dealing with a lot of stress and pain, and following an initial consultation I will suggest the number of Reflexology sessions I think we should undertake.

What are your fees and availability?

Reflexology sessions for individuals last 60 minutes and cost £75 per session (£85 for the first appointment, 75 minutes).

Note that if you want to cancel an appointment I require 48 hours’ notice please; otherwise you will still need to pay for any sessions missed. I accept payment in cash, or contactless card.

Can you diagnose my health problems?

Reflexologists cannot claim to diagnose or cure, but during a treatment we get 'feedback' as to which parts of the body are working well and which are not. Sometimes Reflexology will highlight a specific area which is struggling or working hard to maintain your wellbeing; if a particular reflex point shows this kind of reaction I'll discuss it with you at the end of the session.

What happens in a treatment? Do I need to undress?

Reflexology is performed entirely on the feet and lower leg so the most you’ll have to do is take off your socks and roll up your trousers! During the treatment you will lie on your back on a treatment bed, supported by pillows and covered with a soft blanket to keep you warm.

And don’t worry - reflexology doesn't tickle! Many clients come to me with ticklish feet or worried about their feet being touched, but find they can relax and enjoy the benefits of Reflexology.

Does reflexology hurt?

You might find some areas feel sensitive to the touch, but Reflexology does not have to involve hard pressing in the way something like a sports massage might - Although I am able to give a harder treatment if you wish. As a therapist I will be aware of the status of your feet, noticing how they feel, the temperature and colour.  All these things play a part in understanding which areas of your body - as reflected through your feet - require a bit more care and attention.

Should I keep on having Reflexology?

Not necessarily, but after an initial course of treatment many people choose to check in monthly for a top-up, to help maintain their general wellbeing, or as a scheduled 'de-stress'.  Other clients will get back in touch if they start feeling aches and pains, arranging treatments as and when they need them.
